Reconciliation

(CCC 1422-1498)

"Those who approach the sacrament of Penance obtain pardon from God's mercy for the offense committed against him, and are, at the same time, reconciled with the Church which they have wounded by their sins and which by charity, by example, and by prayer labors for their conversions." - CCC 1422

Effects of Reconciliation

  • Joins the person to God by which the penitent recovers grace.

  • Joins the person to the Church.

  • Provides peace & serenity of conscience, and spiritual consolation.

  • Increases spiritual strength for the Christian battle.

  • Remits the eternal punishment incurred by mortal sins.

  • Remits, at least in part, some of the temporal punishments resulting from sin. (Does not remove all punishments due to sin, that is the work of indulgences.)

Confession Times:

  • Wednesday:  5:30 - 6:15 p.m.

  • Sunday:  7:15 - 7:45 a.m.
